Grow with us! Canyons District’s newly-expanded daycare program for employees has been so popular, we’re adding another convenient location.
Now through midnight on Friday, April 25, Canyons employees can apply online to enroll their infant and toddler children at one of the following school-based locations for the 2025-2026 school year:
- Brighton High: six weeks to five years of age
- Corner Canyon High: six weeks to five years of age
- Jordan High: six weeks to five years of age
After April 25, applicants will be added to a waitlist.
“We urge interested employees to apply soon, because we anticipate demand will be high,” said Canyons Human Services Director Steve Dimond, who has worked to expand child care benefits with the District’s Career and Technical Education Department.
“Our onsite daycare programs have been a big help to so many of our employees and their families. It just made sense for us to grow our programs and, with the support of the Canyons Board of Education, offer this perk to more of our employees,” Dimond said.
Enrollment will be based upon the Canyons Board of Education-approved priorities described in the CSD CTE Early Childcare Training Center Parent/Guardian Handbook and a first-come, first-served basis.
ECTC’s, or Canyons Early Childhood Training Centers, are part of the District’s Family and Consumer Science program. In addition to providing high-quality affordable child care for the children and grandchildren of Canyons’ employees, these centers are a laboratory for high school students to gain experience in early childhood education.
All ECTC locations are open during the school year from 6:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.
Employees can choose to enroll their children for five days, three days, or every other day (A or B days).
Tuition for the program ranges up to $900 per month, depending on the schedule the family chooses and whether the child is diapered or non-diapered. The tuition is deducted directly through CSD’s payroll.
“We look forward to providing this benefit for our employees and possibly adding more ECTC’s in the coming years,” Dimond said.
