42 CSD Student Athletes Named to Fall Academic All-State Teams

Dozens of Canyons School District Seniors are embodying Abraham Lincoln’s idea: proving all students can achieve great success.

Forty-Two seniors hailing from all of CSD’s five traditional high schools — Alta, Brighton, Corner Canyon, Hillcrest, and Jordan — have been honored with spots on the Utah High School Activities Association’s Academic All-State teams for girls tennis, girls and boys cross country, girls soccer, girls volleyball, boys golf, and football.

Academic All-State award winners have a 4.0 cumulative GPA or meet an index score that takes into account a student’s grades and college-entrance exam scores. A student with a 3.9 GPA, for example, would also need to score a 30 or higher on the ACT in order to qualify.
