As is tradition, Canyons District employees will adopt a four-day work week in the summer.
Starting Monday, June 15, the Canyons Administration Building, Canyons Support Services Center, and all schools will be open Monday through Thursday of every week, except on the weeks when employees have a day off for the Independence Day holiday. The 2015 summer work schedule is as follows:
Week of June 15 Four 10-hour workdays Monday-Thursday
Week of June 22 Four 10-hour workdays Monday-Thursday
Week of June 29 Four 10-hour workdays Monday-Thursday
Week of July  6  Closed Monday, July 6 for July Fourth holiday; three 10-hour workdays Tuesday-Thursday
Week of July 13 Four 10-hour work days Monday-Thursday
Week of July 20 Return to five 8-hour workdays, closed Friday July 24 for the Pioneer Day state holiday
Ten-hour workdays begin at 7 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch.
On the fifth day of the week, all District Offices and most CSD schools will be closed and utilities shut down. It’s estimated we’ll save $18,000 for shutting down on Fridays.
