Hillcrest senior Michelle Simmons has scored among the nation’s top one-tenth of one percent of ACT test-takers. The daughter of Jay and Denai Simmons has earned a perfect composite score of 36 on the ACT. To give perspective, just 1,162 of more than 1.8 million students in the class of 2013 earned a composite score of 36. The ACT consists of exams in the subjects of English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36. A student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores.
