Debby Wetzel – Music to her ears

Debby Wetzel wants to teach the world to sing. And dance. And play instruments. Anything, it seems, to introduce young minds to the world of music.

Wetzel, who has been honored by the Utah Music Educators Association as its top teacher for 2008, is thrilled to see lessons on chords and cadence help children learn.

“I want to do this forever,” says Wetzel, Oakdale Elementary School’s music specialist. “I get to sing and play with kids. I really do have the best job ever.”
