The Canyons School District currently enjoys a team of 44 School Psychologists, staffed in every school within the district. School Psychologists provide a variety of services, including Special Education (IDEA) evaluations, social skills and behavioral training and supports with students, counseling services, parent and teacher consultations, response to intervention implementation, and data analysis of student performance. The CSD School Psychologists are integral members of their school’s leadership and problem-solving teams. They are significantly involved in the design and implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) within the district’s schools. Additional duties include coordination of 504 Accommodation Plans, behavioral health screening, and parent training and/or counseling services provide at the Canyons Family Center.
