Jordan High School wrestling Coach Christian Babinski is used to helping his students win matches and titles.
But this year, as his team took fourth place at the 5A State Championships, Babinski’s peers decided the beloved coach should receive a title of his own: 5A Wrestling Coach of the Year.
Babinski’s methods help his students succeed both on and off the mat, with wrestlers from his team going on to compete in college.
Babinski developed Utah’s first 5A dual state championship tournament and has served as the Utah representative in the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
