A team of third-graders at Peruvian Park put their imaginations to the test at the recent 2014 Creative Pursuits Bowl, but it was no fantasy that the four-student team won first place at the competition it was real.
The team of four students won by building an original model of a playground they designed in a short time frame and with a cost limit of $10. They also presented a skit to highlight their model and demonstrated their impromptu thinking skills to win against the other teams from four different school districts.
The team members are:

- Marianne Liu
- Eli Kaplan
The team was just shy of earning a perfect score on their playground model, but as winners of the competition, they each received a trophy and our heartfelt congratulations.
