While the country’s attention may be on star-studded award shows and festivals, Canyons students and teachers are busy at work on their entries for the fifth-annual Canyons District Film Festival.
The deadline to submit an entry is 5 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014. Teachers and students are encouraged to enter films in the Thursday, April 10, 2014 festival. All students, parents and members of the community are invited to attend the free event.
The deadline to submit intent-to-participate forms for the advertisement category has been extended to Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. This is an opportunity for students interested in marketing and advertising to work with local businesses.
Participants also may enter seven film categories and a poster design contest. The categories are feature film, documentary, animation, PSA, newscast, advertisement and teacher film.
