For the fourth consecutive year, Canyons School District has received the Meritorious Budget Award for its Comprehensive Annual Budget Report from the Association of School Business Officials International. The award recognizes Canyons’ 2013-2014 budget report.
“The award represents a significant achievement in budget development,” association Executive Director John D. Musso stated in a letter of congratulations to Canyons School District. “It reflects the commitment of the budgeting department and the school entity to meet the highest standards of school budgeting. To earn the award, the district followed rigorous guidelines for effective budget presentation.”
The award recognizes school districts whose budgets meet stringent criteria, undergo rigorous review, and provide data, detailed information, and a presentation understandable by both lay people and detail-oriented experts.
