Students, teachers and staff members at Crescent View Middle and Midvale Middle schools are teaming up to collect gently used clothing for a communitywide “Clothing Closet” on Saturday, Jan. 28.
If the clothing is anything like the fare at last year’s Clothing Closet, which was created to help those in the community who need clothing for their families, there will be plenty of designer-label, almost-new hoodies, jeans, sweaters and jackets. The clothing giveaway will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crescent View, 11150 S. 300 East.
Students, employees and patrons of Canyons District are encouraged to help the students collect items, which can be of any size or for men, women or children. Donations can be dropped off at either CVMS or Midvale Middle, 7852 S. Pioneer St. This is the second year CVMS has planned and executed the event.
“If you are aware anyone who needs some clothes, please let them know they are welcome to attend this event,” said CVMS Assistant Principal Stacy Kurtzhals. “Anyone can come and get what they need and everything is free.”
